Glass(es) more than half full of personal data?

For years vendors, third party brokers, public sites and other data collections mechanisms have trapped various personal-oriented streams of data. In the past, these methods tended to be less ubiquitous and more channel-based collections (i.e. - in the app). They ranged from personal-oriented to broader behavioral data.
Now with advent of AI and the power it provides to 'glue' that data together faster, will data protections and privacy policies take a more center stage role to protect us or is the genie simply out of the bottle to far?
Tip: Always be stingy when sharing your personal information if you have a choice or setting you can change.
